Use the edge of the Ah-So to cut and pull up the
foil.

Once you have peeled it back remove the foil.

The top of the bottle may need to be cleaned, especially if
it is an older vintage.

Insert the tip of the longer of the two prongs between the
glass and the cork at the top of the bottle.

Use a left and right rocking motion to seat the tip.

Rock from one side...

to the other, while applying gentle downward
pressure.

Once the tip of the smaller prong is even with the top of
the bottle, bend and squeeze the prongs to bring the smaller
tip into place between the cork and glass.

The Ah-So now has both tips inserted firmly between the
glass and the cork.

Now begin a forward and backward rocking motion while
applying light downward force.

Back...

and forth.

The blades are moving down the cork.

We now apply a twisting motion with upward force.

This twisting and pulling brings the cork up slightly in the
bottle.

Back to rocking...

twisting...

and slight pulling upward.

The prongs are well seated.

Rock and push and the Ah-So may slide down to the top of the
bottle.

Since the cork went down along with the Ah-So, we need to
twist and pull to bring it up.

Twist...

and pull,

and the cork comes up with the Ah-So.

The cork is now well seated as high as it can go in the
Ah-So.

Now we twist and pull up. If the cork is old and soft like
this one, you may need to squeeze the prongs to ensure you
have a good grip on the cork.

Twist and pull.

Almost out, reposition your hand for the final twit and
pull.

One last...

twist and pull...

and out comes the cork.

Uncorked!
